When It's Okay To Be Green With Envy

Thank you Pantone...Finally a color that is seductive on everyone!

 

Pantone's official color of the year is (drum roll, please) Emerald Green.

Although this rich, jewel tone looks exceptionally stunning on fair skin and radiant red heads, emerald is the easiest way to add elegance to any look. We respected and adored Tangerine Orange (official color of 2012) but, let's be honest, there was no sane way to look like a 1950's movie star in the world's brightest orange.

 

So Emerald, we welcome you with open arms. We can't wait to see how rich hues will be brought into home decor. While we wait, we can be sure that with all this emerald, women of the world will don more natural makeup, true red lips, and art deco inspired jewels.

The Fearless Fall

Finally fall is here, a season that is as transient as it is fleeting. Yet as the temperature drops, the leaves change color, and the eager skier anticipates the start of the winter season, fall offers everyone the opportunity to celebrate change. And no change is more pronounced than in our seasonal change of clothes! But don’t be too hasty in boxing up all of those summer shorts and short skirts, because this fall is all about being fearless. Instead of boxing up summer shorts and skirts, try pairing them with either sheer or patterned tights. Not only do tights add a layer of warmth to outfits, but they also give an old look a new feel. And the same goes for all those crop tops and summer blouses. Instead of packing away all your summer shirts, try wearing them with a maxi skirt. No matter what time of year, maxi skirts can convey a look of casual confidence or subtle sophistication. So dress up your maxi skirt with a patterned blouse, or dress it down with a simple tank top and sweater. Just remember, the fall is for fearless fun! So don’t be afraid to take risks and make statements with your clothing.
